Yuqi Kang is a Mongol Chinese Canadian filmmaker whose work moves fluidly between the intimate and the epic. She is the founder of Blue Goat Films Inc. Her cinema confronts emotional extremity with quiet restraint, moving across sacred landscapes, remote frontiers, and charged interior worlds. With a painter’s eye and a documentarian’s instinct for truth, she crafts films that are immersive and psychologically resonant, which are drawn to places where human vulnerability meets elemental forces. Her work inhabits the spaces between what is spoken and what is endured, between survival and transcendence.
